Amanda Bynes -- History of EXTREME Inebriation [Video]

Amanda Bynes drinks ... A LOT ... despite claims from her father that she doesn't imbibe ... and TMZ has video proof of the actress drunkenly stumbling out of a club just a few weeks before her DUI arrest.

Despite the fact she was busted for drunk driving last week, Amanda's father told People.com, "I was told that she blew a zero on the Breathalyzer. She didn't have a single drink that night. My daughter doesn't drink."

But TMZ knows Bynes has been frequenting the Hollywood club scene recently ... and on March 22, she appeared so wasted on her way out Greystone Manor in West Hollywood, she needed TWO FRIENDS to hold her upright so she could get to her car.

Thankfully ... she played it safe and didn't drive that night.

But on March 17, a seemingly inebriated Amanda didn't play it safe at all.  We got video of the actress stumbling out of Greystone Manor ...  then getting behind the wheel of her car and driving away, despite pleas from our photog to let a sober person drive.

Of course, Bynes was arrested on April 6 ... after police say she was so drunk, she crashed into a cop car at 3 AM.

Sorry Mr. Bynes ... your daughter drinks ... and she needs help.

Amanda Bynes' DUI Arrest: More Details Emerge

Amanda Bynes was arrested in Los Angeles last Friday on a misdemeanor driving under the influence charge after reportedly getting into a minor accident with a Los Angeles Police Department officer. The "Easy A" and "She's the Man" actress has not yet released a statement on the incident, but Bynes' father recently told People magazine that his daughter was not intoxicated at the time of her arrest.

"She was not drunk," Rick Bynes told the mag. "I was told that she blew a zero on the Breathalyzer. She didn't have a single drink that night. My daughter doesn't drink."

Poppa Bynes went on to say that the police officer who arrested his daughter was at fault because he pulled out in front of her as she was turning. He blamed the actress' seemingly intoxicated behavior on her being "upset and very emotional" in getting arrested.

According to TMZ, Bynes' emotional state wasn't so compromised that she couldn't resume partying that same night. The site claims the actress and a few of her friends attempted to return to the bar at the Standard Hotel in Hollywood just hours after her arrest but were denied re-entrance by hotel staff.

Bynes was given a citation and released from police custody on $5,000 bail. She will have to report to court when a hearing date is set.

A few months before the release of "Easy A" in 2010, Bynes declared on Twitter that she didn't enjoy performing anymore and planned to retire from acting. Her retirement lasted all of 35 days, as she tweeted in late July of 2010 that she was "unretired."

Amanda's dad cited his daughter's break from acting as the reason the tabloids go after her. "She is a good girl," Rick Bynes told People. "She just chooses not to work, and because of that, people go after her."
